I like cats, but my dog is way more loyal than my cat and would die to protect me where my cat would just fuck off. So I'm gunna have to go with the doge. :)
I like dogs, because cats are honestly in my opinion one of the worst pets you can have. They act superior and have been known to cause depression and suicidal thoughts in their owners. I think this is because when someone gets home they expect to be loved, as they are unloved in the outside world. However, upon arriving home they are greeted with disdain by their pet. I don't know why they cause depression in suicide, but if I had to guess, that would be it.
Dogs on the other hand are great. They give that kind of love the average lonely person would like, often trying to become like their master. They also become depressed when their owner is away. All in all, the dog claims the title of "Man's best friend" for a reason. :P

Dogs. Cats only play with you when they want, dogs always want to play.
In terms of league, I like cats because of rengar. In real life, I like dogs, especially the humble ones like Labradors or golden retrievers.

But IRL, cats all the way. Relationships with cats just feel more natural and healthier to me than those with dogs.
The way I feel about dogs, is the way we tend to characterize a clingy and too-in-love partner: they're a lot of fun to be around, but when they don't leave your side for 90% of the day, it gets tiring to deal with. Furthermore, a relationship where you can ignore the other person, and they'll still follow you around... that's just not a healthy relationship.
Along similar lines, when a cat decides to grace you with cute cuddliness, it's a much more satisfying feeling than if you knew you could get that any time.

I honestly like both, so choosing one over the other would not convey my opinion properly. That being said, I dislike certain kinds of dogs and certain kinds of cats. The little chihuahuas who bark at everything in their high-pitched voices give me headaches, while the big fat and lazy cats make me feel big fat and lazy as well.
