Seriously doe, I was in Bronze 5 early season 4. I thought I was a BEAST at this game and that the only reason I was down there was ''because trolls and afkers''... You know, the blame game!
Then I did this thing call ''GIT GUD'' and ''L2play'' and made it to Silver 4.
In my opinion, the reason people get stuck in bronze 5 for so long, is that they think like a bronze 5. And being down there so long probably dumbs your skills down at some point.
RedTao3 votesWell considering I only made bronze 4 last month and have been stuck there ever since, It's clearly not sarcasm and I clearly cant' get gud. People call me stupid and a troll whenever I try to L2play so apperantly I'm not someone who is able to get gud at this game.
I don't blame anyone, it's all my fault. I lose more matches than I win and was stuck in bronze 5 for the past 3 years. This is plenty of proof that I suck at this game and odds are I will never be any better than this. It's gotten to the point where I hear it every game, I even have to apoligize before the game even starts. You can ask anyone who even bothers to play with me anymore (People don't like playing with people who suck, go figure) I apoligize for my crap playing before game even begins.
So call me clueless, shit, dumb, whatever you can think of. Odds are I've heard it all before and noone likes to take that effort it took to call me something to actually give any decent advice. You can tell me to go hang myself but like the others I'm going to have to decline your request. You can even tell me to uninstall because of how much I suck but truth be told, I just like playing the game. I can enjoy something even if I suck at it.

Just focus on self improvement. On my part, for example, to reach Gold last season, I knew I had to improve the following:
My farming efficiency: Every game, I would focus as much as I could on last hitting as well as I could. In my opinion, at the 10 minute mark, having 75-90 cs is a reasonable number, and a sign of improvement from my old habits of 30-50.
Prioritizing: Most people in bronze usually think having kills is the most important thing in order to win while the truth is the complete oposite. I learned that having a 45 cs advantage on my lane opponent was as good as having 2-3 kills on him. And if you do the math, it kinda adds up in some way in terms of gold. So being 0/3/0 in lane is fine, for as long as you keep a good cs lead on your enemy.
Itemizing: Having the right kind of build, according to what enemy I am facing. Going for tanky items vs spending some gold on more damage. A big mistake alot of people make is build damage only, even as an adc, having a QSS, or a Hexdrinker is not a bad thing to go for if you are being focused by hard CC or ap, and top laners that tend to be brawler types like Gnar, Garen, or whateves, they all depend on defensive stats. Yet people build them full damage in some cases.
Now that I am in Gold, I can't go up! So its back to the drawing board to figure out what it is I'm not doing right!

I don't even have to try in order to be called a troll. Maybe the 'if enough people call you something, you must be that thing' logic is applicable here.
But hey, like you said. Bronze 5's are clueless. Considering how much I'm told I'm too dumb to understand and being called a troll for trying to figure things out, I would have to agree with you. Because I'm living proof of your statement. I was bronze 5 for 3 years, still don't know any better and suck at the game. Been trying to fix it for years, still at the bottom.

Gold is nothing to brag about tbh its a complete clown fiesta up here, just people have a better understanding of basic mechanics.
Going up in elo only takes you a 50.1% winrate. Like Qtipie once said in his stream, as many other streamers must've said, even the best players in the world lose nearly half their games, and having a 60% winrate still means you lose 40% of them.
Just focus on improving the little things. Like warding, last hitting, decision making. Watch Valkrin, NightBlue3 or other streamers known to explain alot of the things they do. It can teach you lots of stuff.

Even more confusing that you're having issue with me agreeing with you that "Bronze 5's are clueless, it's hilarious.". Considering your last 2 words in this statement I would have figured that you would have found my being crap at this game to be funny.
So when I say that I lose more matches than I win and I don't have that "50.1% winrate" it's because you can pull it up and see it yourself. When I say that people call me a troll without me even trying, it's because it's happened and I have screenshots that can prove it. I'm not in the habit of saying things I can't back up with proof. So saying that I sound depressing is purely your perspective of what I sound like, not the facts that you can look up yourself.
I've tried learning from streamers, pros and friends. Nothing seems to work and I just end up botching whatever it is I was able to learn from them. I don't even have people who want to play with me anymore since I'm "too dumb to understand" and just lose most matches I play. Considering I don't know what else I can do to improve my ability after 3 years and 4-thousand games, it makes your statement about players at my rank true. I really am clueless and I have noone or anything else that can help me improve.

RedTao1 votesIf I had given up on myself I woudln't have bothered with Rank games. Honestly the only reason I started playing it more often is because now I'm facing Permaban for trying to find fun in this game. Remember those people I said call me a troll without me even trying to be one? That's the result of trying to play for fun. Now that permaban is pretty much inevitable, I may as well try and climb as high as I can before the ban hammer hits.
Unfortunately the only thing that seems to be happening is that I'm losing games when people are on their promo's and still getting blamed for everything that happens. More often than not I still get people asking everyone to report me because the game was lost, it didn't even have to be my fault but it apperantly still was somehow.
Until that ban hammer comes crashing down, I guess I'm going to be responsible for many people losing their ranked games. Didn't have a reason to play it so often before, now I kind of have to if I want to know if I actually have any skill. Until then, I apoligize for everyone who has the bad luck of having me in their team.

TheMinez1 votesWow, I never expected this thread to result in such a positive view. My main tip for how to climb : Play champs who take little skill and are op (Jax/Xin/Yi, preferably someone who is not banned very often), OR Play a champ that is tricky to go up against (I am guilty of over 116K 
mastery), AND keep the game positive, less hate in chat = more chances to be hard carried by your smurfing adc.
