Well, sure, but people like you generally say something like "pref supp" before the bans even go out, so I never have to say anything in those instances.

And they can call me on it. I am more than happy to actually play Bard. It's fun, and I'm actually starting to get pretty decent with him.

Yep, if you try to be the good guy and first pick support so last picks get to counter mid/top you'll be playing support 90% of the time because nobody will do the same when you are last pick, so why bother?

Oh no, I wasn't coming up with an imaginary scenario.

This was a game I actually spectated because I saw first pick lock in Katarina only to be immediately counterpicked.

And it was before the nerf :3

He's still strong at times, though.

Support can counterpick too, provided you have a reasonable pool to choose from.

If you have a support that has good synergy with the ADC, it really doesn't matter what the other team picks bottom. Unlike all the other roles, supports are actually pretty well balanced, so there aren't really any "hard" counters.

Blitz may be the strongest support in solo q right now. So many players can't avoid the grab. He is definitely the best come from behind support, since he can pull someone over a wall into your team for the easy kill. Then it's a 4v5 which you should always win.

Blitz is a 1 trick pony. He goes support because that 1 trick is "Give someone a kill". The only difference between a support Blitz and a support Pantheon is Blitz only endangers himself after he's done his job successfully.

I prefer last pick because no one else seems to give a crap about team comp synergy. If I pick first my team never has any synergy (like 3 AD assassins and an adc), at least when I'm last pick I know I can bring a little synergy to my team.
