Why not just bring back Dominion (like many people are stating) in its entirety than waste a weekend rotation on it?

If they bring Dominion back it will be how it was before they took it away; It was a waste of a mode that didn't have enough players using it to justify having it.

Still more justifiable than wasting a weekend rotation mode, I would honestly rather play All for One vs 5 Malzahar.

Without this mode taking up space in the rotation there would only be four mods, within one month a player could play all of them. Riot said that more modes would be added at some point so I don't doubt that they might not have DND when they are added.

A) Wouldn't waste weekly rotation on a horribly balanced game mode.

B) It was unpopular because it was a horribly balanced game mode that Riot never addressed. It was popular enough that people wanted a ranked Dominion after it was initially released. Rammus, Kassadin, and Heimer made sure nobody like Dominion, though.

C)If its going to be in the weekly rotation, that means they'll have to balance it to make it worth keeping, similar to URF and other modes. Because of this, people can't say "Riot doesn't have the resources it requires to be a decent game mode".

D) They claimed adding capture animations was a large part, cause they didn't want to have to develop them on every champion. Meanwhile, Skarner passive, DND mode, Ascention, and every new champion still getting capture animations.

The people who were upset about Dominion leaving may not agree with it being a waste of a mode. I agree that is wasn't popular because Riot didn't give it the attention they gave to other modes; if they were to bring it back without addressing these issues nothing would change. I believe that they added it to the rotation just to have it there, if they were to balance it then they would have no excuse for taking it away in the first place.

People are going to complain about it as a game mode as time goes on, and Riot will probably address it, just showing their willingness to go back on their words again. Either that, or they will show that they don't care about the state of the rotating queue. Its one or the other.

Many people liked the Dominion map for player-made mini-games. You can't easily set that up without custom lobbies. Many of peoples' gripes with Dominion could be solved by just leaving it as a custom game mode, which wouldn't hurt Riot in any way, shape, or form.
