I feel that mastery flashing is mostly used to get in people's heads.
Even if you are having a bad game, you can certainly make people tilt with mastery spam. It's almost like a 5th ability, in some situations. Like, I had a really bad Singed game recently, but we won, largely in part because I kept flashing my level 4 mastery at the enemy which made them hungry for my blood all game, they ended up losing focus putting too much effort into trying to kill me. 4 people chasing me all around the jungle while my team takes bot turret un-challenged.
Seems as though someone's flashing efforts has affected OP on an emotional level.
I know some of you might not like me for this because im an m7 yasuo. But tbh im not one of those Yasuos who uses it when you kill someone in a 1v1 (mostly because i forget and get kind of nervous during the fight and im still nervous after). I mostly use it when I miss an easy q , or a nado. Its pretty funny and the enemy laner probably gets a chuckle or two from it lol. But yeah M7 does NOT make you good.
Hey, I earned my Mastery 7 on Sona, took a very long time to get those S ranks. But I rarely flash it, so it's mostly for personal accomplishment and pride. :|

I had a game recently where we had a pretty good team, but the enemy Yasou was a poor sport and our malphite wasn't having non o' his shit lol

I am very guilty of this, I used to play veigar and got to M7 on him. Now I play being only in Aram. I one shot half their team with W. Mast flash time. I know I am a terrible person.
why flash mastery when you can flash emotes [sg-lulu]
I honestly only spam mastery 7 after I tower dive then flash in the wrong direction and ignite the enemy at full hp.........

True masters don't flash their mastery like you flash emotes. They flash their mastery by getting a fuck ton of pentakills. Or quadrakills, if you're a Jhin main like me.
To be honest Mastery Flash is just disrespectful 99% of the time.
I have never been a fan of it and rarely use it.
