Last time I played, around two years ago, I didn't find the Russian tanks OP.

In terms of the HTs, they just had high alpha and reasonable pen, which meant that any bad player could do decently in it. The MTs were kinda meh until you got the Obj. 416 or you got to Tier 9/10, where they become quite OP. For bad players, the Tier 9/10 MTs had slightly bouncy armour, which helps. LTs were only average, with the Franch and American LTs being much better. I don't really know about the TDs and SPGs, since I never really played them.

The German TDs were pretty good. The Waffen Traktor was so OP they took it out.
