Garen in LCS?

He was picked one game in the chinese LCS, but after the 15 minute mark he was literally being ignored. They weren't even kiting him, he was literally sitting on the enemy Kog'maw and they weren't even caring since he is so horrible late game.

Odd because his late game is considerably strong, with a maw or mercurial paired with some black cleavage he has a considerable amount of damage. These are my builds on him.. I almost always can peel for my team since garen eats cc for breakfast and with mercurial youre unstoppable.

He just lacks that hard cc.

His kit is very one dimensional, at that level garen wouldn't stand a chance and doesnt bring anything but a meat shield to a team comp, and he isnt even good at that because he has no way to force you to deal with him. As Frodo Swaggins pointed out, no hard cc, and since he isnt really an assasin, despite his somewhat unfair ult, he really doesnt fit into competitive lol very well. He is an excellent start champ and i think that was his intended roll.

However Darius is much the same, but his kit requires you to deal with him, unlike garen.
