Diana's knees sunk to the floor...
Her mind circled, her hands trembled... blood? Why was there blood on her hands...? She looked in front of her and saw a body, lifeless. She reached out and ran her hand down the golden armor, once full of light and warmth now dark and cold. She shook, running her hand through the auburn hair that was once kept neat and tidy, now messy and thick with blood. Diana's breath hitched, she saw her weapon, laying beside the shield and sword, coated in blood. She reached out and wrapped her hand around the hilt, slowly dragging it to her... something inside of her chest broke. Tears that had been building up now fell freely, dripping down her face, taking some of the blood stains with it.
She looked up at the stars and her beloved moon only to utter the simple phrase

There was no response. For the first time in a long time, isolation gripped Diana like a clasp "WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME!?" She screamed to the heavens, as if demanding an answer.
Still she received no response. She reached over and pulled the body into her lap, cradling it as her sobs echoed in the darkness. Diana's chest hurt, but not physically. Her body actually felt numb, but she felt as though a part of her was ripped clean out.
"I'm so sorry..." She muttered through her sobs, her tears falling upon the lifeless face under her.
Blinded by her own desire, Diana ended the life of the only one who completed her. The crushing realization forced a scream from her lips, she screamed for what seemed like hours, until her voice was hoarse. Was it out of anger? Sadness? Plea? Diana didn't know anymore. The only response she received once again, was the stillness of the night.
After she could scream no more she went silent, the only sounds were her tears hitting her armor. Diana carefully laid the body in her hands down upon the ground before she too laid beside it, wrapping an arm around it and closing her eyes.
She felt as if she had nothing now, the light in her life; extinguished. The exhausted warrior finally fell asleep, if only to see the Dawn again.

This is an exercise I decided to try. To project my sadness onto writing, to see if it will make me feel better.
I'm sorry if this isn't the right place to put it...
