I cant say I'm an optimist, realist, or even a pessimist. I just have a fundamental belief that if you hit the "play" button you agree to play until someone destroys the nexus. It doesn't mean you're gonna play till you give up. You are signing a contract that states you will try to win and do your best.

Optimist: "We got this guys! No surrender!" Pessimist: "Game over. Yasuo OP, fuk you guys, gg" Realist: "This game went pretty poorly. Best to surrender and move on" Idealist: "I can learn from this game" Capitalist: "If I ward everywhere I could turn this around" Communist: "We're all to blame for this" Conspiracist: "I quit, All Rito cares about about is LCS & $$$" Opportunist: "While they are pushing tower I'ma back door" Nihilist: "This game never happened.... If you are the type of person who "never surrenders" you need to get this idea out of your head. Even pro teams in LCS surrendered and teams have even surrendered during the world finals. Stop wasting your time and every one else's unless you can see a clear opportunity to win. Please.

I'd prefer to always have optimists... Played a game where we aced the winning team but our ADC refused to leave base because "it doesn't matter how many times you ace them, we will still lose"... With an optimist the worst that can happen is you can't surrender, with a pessimist they just stop playing and wait for the surrender even if you are destroying their nexus in a base race, they will be at fountain saying "it doesn't matter if i stop them or help you, we will lose"

2 problems with that:

Their team isn't pushing objectives and just farming kills. A comeback will probably happen eventually if they don't pull their act together,.
We actually won't surrender because the 2 optimists will keep voting "no".

I always get stuck with idiot optimist who think its possible to come back from a 0 to 50 game. Then they hold me hostage for 40mins in a losing game by refusing to surrender. It makes me want to rip my hair out.

Well,that depends.If I'm having a bad performance or my team is toxic as crap,I want to jump ship as soon as possible.If I'm satisfied with my performance,I'll just not vote & see where this trainwreck will take us. I'm sure we'll surrender.Just not sure if I will surrender.

I'm a vindictive person. I'll agree to surrender if the game is lost, but if you're a prick I'll vote no just because I can have fun watching you whine about the game and the lack of surrender, if the rest of the team can turn it around then great, but really my whole plan was to go out listening to you screaming your head off.

Change the "realist" to whiner. Any realists I see in game are 9 times out of 10 the worst people to play with. All they want to do is surrender because they just focus on the now situation rather than planning out for strategies for success. Their primary objective is to grind out games for wins rather than to play the game for what it really is. Additionally from my experiences with realists is that they proceed to becoming very aggressive and toxic towards their teammates when they don't have things go the way they want to, whether it'd be in-game chat or in a voice call with strangers or friends.
