In the original string of comics Viktor clearly needed the cats to consent to the Evolution. This means that the three cats pictured above all realized their true potential and joined the Evolution willingly. They don't need pity, they chose for themselves a superior path of steel, and will pity those like you who cling to flesh like a meaty safety blanket.
