veigar won 3 games during worlds, 2 of which he did nothing and got carried. but because veigar isnt your standard mid that has been dominating LCS for the past year, everyone's head exploded.

I find it hilarious that there have been minimum changes to Veigar, people always said he was a moderate mage, and now that he has seen LCS play he is suddenly op, it is like when Twitch got his visual update, he was always that powerful and no one knew because no one played him just because he was ugly

Because Cass's damage is all in one ability, where Veigar's is technically more spread out. So more fun.

Cass caps out a lot lower if you want boots and a void staff.

Boots, Void (80), ROA (100), Deathcap (120), NLR item (120), Seraphs (80) + Seraphs Passive (96) + Runes (15+27) + Masteries (22)= 660 (740 with Baron and blue pot). Deathcap Passive, Casssiopeia passive, and offensive masteries multiply that by 35+30+5, which totals 1122 (1258 with Baron and Blue pot).

Veigar can get more if he follows the same build and farms like 250 AP.

The buffs were actually substantial. The Q was buffed to give the 5 AP on Assists as well as kills, so say your jungle is helping you, but you've gone oom because early mana costs OP and your jungler takes the kill like he should. Well, normally you'd go B and cry as you missed out on 5 AP. Now you go B and look at that free 5 Q farm you just got by pressing E. His W also lost .25s off of it's drop time since its countdown now starts when clicked rather than at the end of the cast time. His W was given reliability and his Q now gives AP a lot more often.

I should point out before his W dropped in 1.45s and his base stun lasted for 1.5s. Usually it took you about .25s-.5s to pressing W since you're not always in range for the W when they hit the wall. Well, now with 2 levels into your E, you can then level your W second properly and abuse the large base damage it does rather than having to put 3+ points into it so the enemy would be stunned long enough to actually take the W's damage. Considering his W has a 300 damage base (Being nerfed next patch) can now be achieved at level 14 rather than at max level on top of getting 5 AP for every assist after your max level Q... To put it simply, Veigar got a lot of reliability added to his abilities after his Q was turned into a skill shot and his E was given a delay. He's not got 'about' the same amount of reliability he had before, which was what made him strong before. Now he's just gotta be tuned down oh so slightly.

He has about 1 patch in the limelight. He's getting nerfed again. Veigar along with Evelyn is a champ that Riot will not allow to be good, or even viable.

Are you comparing what's happened to Veigar to what's happening and will continue to happen to Evelynn? Evelynn wishes she got "compensation" like Veigar did. The only champ who's been hammered into the ground harder than Eve is Sona.

Ugh Veigar. I thought it was funny when I built item 3003 early against Veigar for sustain and he whined over all chat "I'm only losing because you didn't build AP"
