Yeah, I tend not to buy GA myself.

It's nothing more than a big fat beacon to make the enemy gather around me for round 2.

It's great if you're tanky, fed or both. It's good in a really close teamfight. The enemy team finally takes you down, BAM! Revived.

It's also fantastic if you're hit by a long-range move while somewhat safe. Like recalling behind a turret and suddenly Karthus ults.
