Supports aren't the only ones who screw up the responsibility of vision shared by the team. For every support who doesn't rush sightstone, there's like twenty laners who don't buy a single ward when they recall! D:
I think its worse when a support doesnt buy and then claims they dont need it and its useless...smh
I played with someone who claimed wards weren't necessary or even a benefit, also claiming that pro players buy them just to "show off."
The worst part is I think he was serious.
I remember back when I was first starting, I had gotten kicked out of the tutorial for not moving because my mouse died (pretty sad really) and didn't know I could play it again. Because of that, I had no idea how to use items, and I desperately wanted to ward because I read a guide that said over and over "WARDS WIN GAMES!", so I got sightstone on my Nashor's tooth master Yi and was so confused that no wards came out.

Tough, sometime I do not use my wards right after I buy them. I wait to try using them for pushing and objectives like dragon.

If you're in bronze and you want to go on tilt, mouse over the support's sightstone. 0/3 wards placed 90% of the time.
lol this happens to me all the time in ranked. I also find that the support that owns sightstone and places no wards is too busy typing about how bad their team is. point out that they are not using their free wards, it generally enrages them to the max.
I hate it it when the support says "Im not going that deep to ward" WTF are you kidding? better the sup die warding than the adc/mid die farming. I as a sup will ward all the way in the enemy jg just so my adc can focus on farming or can push without getting 5 man ganked "becasue we all know them low elos don't now how to push or get objectives when five people are in one lane.

I was supporting and our top lane Lissandra is blaming me for wards. I tell everyone to upgrade trinkets, and someone actually told me no O.o
As a support main, I know the feeling when others take the role and they do the same thing...
And yes. Its not the supports job alone to ward. Even the AD carry should get atleast one ward every time you go back. Early game I can understand since his trinket is usually enough early game if I rush sightstone. But 75g to prevent you from dieing? DO IT! Especially since it only takes like 2 minion kills to afford one. It won't delay your precious infinity edge much.
I may not be the most aggressive support, or the support that gets caught out the least. Say what you will about me as a support, but when I buy a sightstone, you can almost guarantee that my wards are maxed out while I'm in lane. 3 up all the time.
I hate seeing supports that buy a sightstone but never place a ward. As adc I get forced to do all the warding. My support asks why the enemy carry is dealing so much more damage, and that's because, instead of buying wards instead of damage items. I buy them usually, but if I have to buy more than usual, you're going to notice that my damage suffers. Got enough for a pickaxe and two pots? not anymore because you have to buy 3 wards to place down! Wanna finish that infinity edge that the enemy finished about 5 minutes ago? Too bad! MORE WARDS YOU KNOW YOUR SUPPORT ISN'T PLACING ANY.

What if everyone bought three sightwards and a pink on the map. That's 20 wards for one team. If you placed them like you have common sense you could have every part of the jungle warded.
