Oil Slick puzzle, can someone solve it?

Amg! So many conflicting rules about moving/pushing/pulling on oil slick. We have the rule book, mission books and several forums (boardgamegeek, riot, etc...), and let's face it... they're not on the same page regarding to oil slicks.

I'm waiting for my mid december shipment and it would be nice to know the correct rules before hand, so i've prepared some scenarios with a number of options. I really hope that someone can solve this slippery puzzle.

M=Mech, B=Bomb, O=Oil, all scenarios have 2 oil slicks

Scenario 1, **pushing **a bomb (4 options): ------------------------- ---------#1---------- ---------#2---------- ---------#3---------- ---------#4---------- initial setup--- --MBOO---------- --MBOO---------- --MBOO---------- --MBOO---------- push/move--- ----MOOB-------- ----MOOB-------- --------OOMB----- --------OMB------- push/move--- -------OOMB----- -------OMB-------- --------OO---MB-- --------OOMB----

Scenario 2, towing a bomb (3 options): ------------------------- ---------#1---------- ---------#2---------- ---------#3---------- initial setup--- --BMOO---------- --BMOO---------- --BMOO---------- tow/move------ ------BOOM------ --------OBM------- --------OOBM---- tow/move------ ------BOO----M-- --------OOBM---- --------OO---BM-

Scenario 3, other mech on the oil (2 options): ------------------------- ---------#1---------- ---------#2---------- initial setup--- --MOM------------ --MOM------------ move-------------- ------OMM-------- ------OOMM----- move-------------- ------OOMM----- ------OO----MM-

Scenario 4, other mech **behind **the oil (2 options): ------------------------- ---------#1---------- ---------#2---------- initial setup--- --MOOM--------- --MOOM--------- move-------------- ------OMM-------- ------OOMM----- move-------------- ------OOMM----- ------OO----MM-

I've been using the YouTube channel "Watch It Played" to get information on exactly how to play each mission. In this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-1MTWIOlNM at around 6:50, he goes into detail about how towing through oil works.

My buddies and I have been playing this game for about a week now and based on the info given on that channel and the rule book, we've been doing the following...

Basically as soon as ANYTHING touches oil, it keeps moving until it hits an unpushable obstacle (such as a wall or edge of the board) or steps onto terrain. So if you push a bomb onto oil with your last movement space, the bomb will keep going but you will not. The same goes for a mech. So, in your diagrams above, pushing will go from MMOO or MBOO to MOOM or MOOB with a SINGLE move space

If you're moving across the oil on your own turn, and you're about to hit a mech/bomb, providing that the mech/bomb isn't against a wall or edge of the board, you will push that object forward one space since it's considered movable. So your diagram would go from this... MOOM to OOMM. Keep in mind that this is ONE movement space

Now if you're towing a bomb or a mech, as soon as you hit oil, you'll keep moving across the oil until you hit terrain and the towed mech/bomb will travel with you. However, once you hit terrain, the towed object will stop behind you on the oil slick since it's more or less "attached" to you. So for towing, your diagram would end up going from MMOO or BMOO to OMM or OBM.

Hope this helps you answer your question.
