Movement Question

Finally got around to playing through the tutorials and the first two missions over the weekend and had a question about the movement cards.

Some cards state "You Must" and others say Move 1-2, 2-4, 3-6, spaces. One of our players said the movement wasn't necessary when moving along the command line since it doesn't state that you must move.

Is this correct or do all movement cards need to occur as the command line states? (say you have a Speed card slotted at 4. Do you have to move or can you skip the movement?)

Hey,

You absolutely must execute every card in your command line, whether it's a damage card or a command card. Every card must be used, Speed is just a little different in the way that it lets you choose between different lengths of your movement but you absolutely have to execute it simply because it is in your command line. There is no way you can skip a card in your command line, every 6 slots need to be done.

TL;DR: Your friend is wrong. You need to move.
