Seriously fix this stupid passive meta

Riot already implemented alot of antisnowball mechanics at the beginning of the season(first blood and dragon changes) but with the rise of heal and exhaust, everyone is basically forced into passive play. And then you add ff to the mix, literally everyone is just playing for the late game.

Playing assassins right now just give me a headache. As a midlaner im forced into play the scaling champions everygame. Ziggs is fun once in a while but playing every game for the late game where one mistake means a loss is annoying.

Rioters have said again and again that they dont want to promote passive play, but by trying to reduce snowballing, theyve done exactly that.

That's not necessarily true. Just that your lane opponent has exhaust or heal doesn't mean you're useless as an assassin. If you're running something like mid lane Zed or Leblanc, your ultimate comes up about 4-8 times as often as their exhaust or heal. You should be able to burst someone down 1v1 if you keep tabs on their summoner spells.

There was an interesting discussion about this on Trinity Force Podcast (ep 151, I think?) recently. They made the point that these changes have beeing making it harder for a single player to hard carry by stomping in the mid/early game and translating that to an easy win, and that the ultimate consequence of this is that the team aspects of the game are coming to the forefront.

I understand how this might feel shitty, if you're a player who was used to doing that mid-game hard carry thing and winning games that way. However, I think it's ultimately better for the game. "Win lane, win game" feels great if you're the guy winning lane, but what if you're the guy who's even in lane and then you get stomped by a fed Mundo who shows up out of nowhere and lose because none of you can do anything about him?

Personally I enjoy passive play. I think the most fun part of the game is 50 minuets when everyone is full build and the difference in skill is all that matters not how fed you got super early on because you got a 4 man gank.

Play Tryndamere. Scrub people early, scrub people mid game, and scrub people late game.

Snowballing is still possible, you simply have to know how. If your opponent is playing passively then you need to force a fight. Tower diving or getting a pull from Blitzcrank, Thresh, Nautilus, can give you the opportunity to jump your opponent and get a quick kill.

Try coordinating with you jungler or support and see what you can pull off. Sure it's tougher to snowball, prior to all these changes I was seeing Assassins around every corner due to their hard snowball potential, this simply evens the playing field a little. It's not impossible to snowball, but you gotta be smart, you can do it.
