I love how Riot implements so many different cultures and mythologies into the game..

...but i cant help but notice the lack of polynesian and other pacific island influences.

It's really amazing to see the different cultures that they put into every champion, but as a Hawaiian myself i wish we could get a little input of our own.

The pacific is full of rich history and mythology of their own and it would really make me, and i think the other pacific islanders out there, happy to see some of our own culture in the game.

Not many people out there see our homes more than a tourist hot spot so to see something more than just singed holding a surfboard would make me love this game even more.

I never really looked into the pacific culture could you provide links to your cultures and myths in which Riot could reference? I mean that could work? ^^

Well there is a totemic Maokai Maokai skin, but yeah I get what you're going for. I think it'd be fantastic if more of the unique cultures across the world were used (imagine a melee swordsman that was designed after a Hindu god- one of the ones with six arms or something!) I hope Riot takes a look at this and thinks about incorporating more of the unique mythologies.

When I think of Pacific Islands cultures, I remember hearing about the Maori from New Zealand. Rengar Rengar does a haka for his dance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnJL3gHJzVU

Thresh Thresh also does a poi routine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYHRcvGaDCY

Actually, I'm really interested in how we bring in other cultural tropes or ideas into League. We certainly draw from a lot of western and eastern archetypes. I'd be interested in what you're talking about and see if we can find inspiration from not-so-often-used cultural niches.
