Add a new strategic function to normal / teambuilder modes.

First off I am not a ranked player at all as my skill set is still to limited for that.

I do not wish to get into ranked play (or even draft play) until I know I will not be a detriment to the others on the team.

However that is not to say that I do not like the idea of a strategic challenge in a smaller capacity.

For example: Currently in ranked/draft mode each player is given the option of banning one champion from the list of available champions.

The main reason I never really liked the idea of ranked/draft was due to this yet it inspired an idea I will share with you now.

In Normal/Team Builder you are picking your champ, mastery, and rune sets blindly hoping you do not go against a hard counter. I always thought that in a way this was tougher than actually getting to see who the opposing champ was and counter picking them (or banning what hard counters you might have if your lucky).

What if:

In normal and team builder modes you had the option to choose your mastery and rune page set "after" all players had locked in their champs and you saw which champs were on the opposing team.

While this option would not be nearly as in depth as draft or ranked; I for one would consider it to bring to the board a new and exciting manner of play as well as allowing for better experimentation before moving on up the chain to harder game modes.

Imagine your team has all picked their champs and have clicked ready. Now, once your opponents have been found in the system, it shows you the champions they are playing with and then gives you 30-60 seconds to choose your rune/mastery sets as well as your two abilities. Nowhere would you see which builds they are choosing just their champions.

It may not be something everyone enjoys but it might offer some of us a new and exciting way to play and more reasons to play around with runes and materies other than those that stick to the meta.

Anyway just food for thought;

It's called BLIND pick for a reason. You can play unranked draft mode. Also, the banning in ranked/draft mode is carried out by the team captain, or the person who gets first pick. And they are only allowed to ban 3 champs, for a total of 6 bans across both teams. Trying to ban hard counters is implausible, it's rather more effective to ban people with amazing snowball potential, or junglers with strong ganks.
