I wish pre-nerf taric still existed to fight the new "support" meta

After seeing that video, I cried a little inside. I miss Taric. He is no longer viable as a support in the current meta. It was always hard to keep up with the enemy as Taric, even before he got butchered, because he was just a melee support. His stun was often not followed up on because of how dangerous it is for a melee support to actually get into melee range. He just made it safe for his ad carry to lane.

But he was nerfed before we even saw Thresh. Thresh, who is basically a god among supports these days. He is so good, he is banned in a LOT of games. There's even annie, fiddlesticks, and zyra going bot lane these days. Maybe, just maybe, pre-nerf Taric could have handled them in some way.

Right now? No. Taric is below average. Unable to keep up. This video made me wish he was never nerfed. Why Riot? Why do you decide that certain champions will never be played in the current meta? Why do you nerf things into unviability? Essentially, why do you "Olaf" things AT ALL?

Why can't all champions be viable? Why?

Champions that have a very very low skill ceiling ( ie Ryze, Akali, Taric) should never be as strong as those champions were before their most recent nerfs. Taric dominated the lane so easily, and there was so little counterplay. If you were in range, you got stunned. And if you tried to trade after that, you lost the trade because of the heaps of free armor taric and his ally got.
