Rengar Kha'zix The Hunt Is On quest.

I feel like with the new Rengar changes the Quest is now not really fair on Rengars side. I just tested out the quest with my friend in a custom to see what Rengar gets out of it. The only thing Rengar now gets from the Head of Kha'zix is a reduction for the trinket cool down. At least before he didn't loose stacks. I feel like Rengar should get something equal to Kha'zix getting his 4th evo point in terms of strength other than being able to place a ward more often whatever trinket you have. Leave your thoughts on this in the comments. :D

He gets full stacks on the trinket as well. It's slightly less reward than before but it's still very significant.

do you know what stacks for rengar is the minimum requirment for the quest to start i wasnt able to test it?

rengar and kha'zix must be lvl 16, kha'zix needs 3 evolutions, and rengar needs full stacks to start the quest

Actually Rengar only needs 10 stacks on bonetooth to start the quest, so the maximum stacks you can get by winning the event as Rengar is 10

Thanks for the info.

So if Rengar already has 20 stacks, the quest will be more of a burden for him no ? Since he doesnt lost stack upon death, getting the 20 stacks before the quest goes on is quite easy... (I just got the head of kha'zix but my bonetooth was already at 20 stacks, so it was absolutely useless for me :/) Thus in a normal game, a good rengar should always have 20 stacks after some time, i really think that it is unfair for Rengar. Also i don't understand why the Empowered W does less damage than the normal W at level 1 (40 and 50) why the empowered W doesnt start at 50 dmg ? It can be handicapping when we play him AP for example :(

I think that is irrelevant. Sure, the bonus that Rengar can potentially gain from winning may be substantial, however the fact that it is possible to stack the bonetooth to 20 without the event makes winning the fight feel very insubstantial.

It feels like Rengar is not fighting to win, rather he is fighting to not lose, since Kha'Zix is able to receive a bonus that is otherwise unattainable, and even after losing the hunt, Rengar can still stack to 20. This really kills the "fearsome predator vibe" for me, since it takes away the feeling of actually earning anything.

Consolation prizes aren't very fun.

I'm not upset with any game balance issues this difference presents, I trust Riot to do their best with the numbers. I am purely interested in the thematic impact of the event. While the idea of getting the ultimate trophy is still intact, I feel that its value has been lost.

This is what I've been saying for a while since Rengar cant lose stacks anymore he gains basically nothing from this quest while Kha'zix gets a massive game changing reward if he wins. Winning as Rengar just isn't as fun or rewarding as it used to be and i think you need to give Rengar an additional reward like adding a few stats to the head or something like buffing the numbers or even adding a whole new buff that you can only get with the head. And at the moment let him switch trinkets after obtaining the head cause then its like a handicap from just having a maxed Bonetooth.

And also maybe make the wards you use from the trinket kha's actual head. Just my input :)

Please revert the changes OR Make him more bursty, he is very weak as he was before and I personally dislike him.

I personally think the changes were needed as i pretty much mained Rengar and i felt like i had the need to snowball to do anything. I personally like the changes and enjoy playing him more now. He is no longer a bursty type assassin, he is a fighter who deals a lot more sustained damage with less burst potential (the burst potential is still there). I feel like there is now some counterplay to Rengar while there is also more in depth decisions that have to be made from the Rengar player for him to still play at a higher level. He is not weak just a bit more difficult to master.
