NA Server down again? what's up?

Go to the forum tab and under the drop down just select Dev Tracker. That keeps track of every post on the original forums that are made by a Rioteer and it's the easiest way to just view what they've been saying. Alternatively you should also get into the practice of actually clicking the forum tab. Then scroll down on that page and select "Service Status Forum". That will contain posts by the networking team and others in regards to connection issues and downtime.
