Should I start playing rank soon?

Just curious because I might actually get into ranked even though I been refusing to do it countless times.

The champions I play is like this.

Mid - Lux, Akali, and Riven (Sadly do not own her on this account still but will buy her as soon as I get a RP card.)

Top - Shyvana, Akali, and Teemo

Support - Sona, Soraka, and Lux.

Adc - Sivir, Ashe, and MF.

Jungle - Never playing this role in ranked until I get a jungler that I can do well with unless I am force to play this role.

All I am missing is more champions for top as you can see that akali and teemo is a bit squishy unless I build them tanky, 2 full rune pages (Working on it.) and a tiny bit more(a lot more) practice in jungle.

I do not rage much at all and will admit that I can be bad in certain matches.

I main Mid lane and Support. I do not like tanky supports and do not own a single one but I will get one just in case we need one.

So what I am asking is do you guys think I can handle ranked when i get the things I am missing or should I still wait for it even then?

I think you'd do fine in ranked with what you have, though some more rune pages would be nice. Another thought is that you should consider trying some more mobile adcs like Lucian or Ezreal. Also in the way of supports, consider learning someone cheap like Janna, who, in my opinion is more useful than Soraka and Sona when it comes to keeping allies safe. I also don't care much for tanky supports and did very well with Janna last season (towards the end I was near a 60% win rate with over 200 games played. As far as mid laners go, the ones you have are pretty good though you should definitely try out others during free weeks to see if something else tickles your fancy.

Lastly, you might as well try ranked, you don't have much to lose. I started off season 3 fairly unskilled, I had 4 rune pages and a large champion pool but there were still some things I struggled with and started the season being ranked Silver 5. I continued playing ranked though, one or two games per day, and eventually I improved and made it to platinum 1 towards the end. As long as you don't stress too much over what your rank is you'll have fun and improve along the way :-)

How are your rune pages looking? If you have rune pages and could do at least two out of the 5 roles really well, then you're ready for ranked. I've been playing for about a month and after doing my provisionals, I managed to skip bronze and get into Silver 5. Although Silver 5 is not much to brag about, I did a lot better than I thought I would do considering that I'm still new to this game. Just do it. Even if you get placed in a low silver or bronze division you can easily climb up after some time.

Honestly i suggest that you play alot of normal games before you attempt to make the switch into ranked. In ranked people take it alot more serious and will rage if you do not play up to their expectations. And personally i think your champion pool is very shallow. You should look into champs with more of a carry mentality. Champs with utility and damage. Most of the time bruisers or strong mid lanes can hard carry games. But if you play ranked now i think you will just get a bad experience and you won't go back to it.

Wukong. Try Top lane as wukong. He got me through my provisionals with a 100% win-rate on him with 6 games. I like him, you may or may not, so give him a try, he's a fun champ, trickster with his W, a fighter with his Q, and a hell-of-a-poker with his E!, And his best ability that can turn over a team fight at any moment, His R.

Ok, the only problem here is that you probably do not have the best possible champions available to you in ranked. Well, aside from not jungling since that is an obvious issue that you are going to have to live with.

I would suggest using the best possible champions for each lane, and I will compare and contrast what you do use against what you should probably be using in an optimal environment.

Your mid: Akali Lux Riven . You have a problem here I think since Riven generally does not even belong in the mid lane. I would suggest learning the following champions so that your mid lane dominance can be absolute. LeeSin , LeeSin ,or LeeSin will give you the best chance to dominate mid lane.

Your top: Teemo and Akali are just not viable. Shyvana I could see being viable, but again you have the right champion and probably the wrong lane. Riven belongs here with Shyvana, but never underestimate how good LeeSin is in this lane.

Your support: Just no. Leona is the only option. Everyone you play is not worth beans in this meta.

Your adc: blah blah blah, last hit minions, blah blah.. yeah pretty much anyone can do this. However your choice of Ashe displeases me. Ashe should never be picked when better champions are available, and when it comes to adc there is always someone better that is still available no matter what pick it is.

Your jungle: Shyvana is perfectly fine as a jungler. LeeSin would be better.

TLDR version: Avoid bottom lane like the cancer it is in ranked. You will get various degrees of autism, down syndrome, and other mental illnesses from prolonged exposure to being in the bottom lane in a ranked game.
