The LoL-identity crisis

Hey guys,
I'd like to tell you about my experiences with the LoL.I.C, and what I blame are the problems causing it (even though I know that that isn't the truth -> I'm the problem).
So the LoL.I.C is when you start up League, wanting to play, go into a match and just sit there and be like "uhhhhh, what do I play ?".
I know, everyone has this every once in a while, where they don't know what Role, Champion and Build to take, but this is a more ... severe case. The question just sticks and doesn't let go.
I don't know what to play, I don't want to play my mains anymore, I can't find another main, I don't play seriously and I get really bad overall.
Usually these crises (I've had 3) just appear out of nowhere and last up to 3 weeks, and during that time I really wonder why I even play League.
It just seems like there is no diversity at all, like you've tried everything and that the game is practically played through. In my second crisis I actually uninstalled LoL, just to install it again 2 weeks later.
And I know ! I really do know, that that isn't the truth. I don't even own every Champion or Rune in LoL, so I can't possibly have tried everything !
And yet ... it just gets kinda boring (sorry Riot).
In my first crisis I trolled 24/7, like really hard. I actually got banned for a while because of it.
In my second crisis I spammed ARAM in the Howling Abyss -it was shortly after it was released- for a while and then I started spamming Ranked -> Not good. If you haven't played Summoner's Rift in forever, do not ! I repeat : DO NOT PLAY YOUR FIRST GAME(S) BACK THERE IN RANKED.
(My poor MMR Q_Q)
And my third crisis is now, and I only play Dominion -> also kinda trolling (Crit Elise, AD Teemo, On-hit Ori, etc.)
AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ! :D
I know I won't uninstall, so I kinda started blaming Riot (even though it's 95 percent my fault).
I mean I don't rage, and I don't tell Riot this (until now), I just think that it is their fault in my head, that the items are too few (ok, this isn't the LoL.I.C's fault, I just really want more items), that the Champions are too boring, that the maps don't change, that the Runes are too expensive, that content doesn't come out fast enough, etc.
This is just really annoying >.<
Does anyone know this feeling ? Do you have tips against it/ What to do to make LoL not boring any more ?

The reason I made this thread :
Riot, I don't know if I'm the only one that has this, but maybe, if there are more, you could like add some kind of "daily tips" page, where Rioters or high-elo players write what we could play, or what they play.
What we could try out, or just some hidden things on Champions that make you want to play them.
What seems weird, but actually works.
-> Like some kind of achievements system. Just without the achievements, and more with bets "I bet you can't not die with Maokai today !"
Maybe this could be in the top left corner : Make a talk-bubble, and when you hover over it you see these things.

Thanks for reading ! G'day !

I've never had such a drastic experience but my enthusiasm for games comes and goes. I'd recommend adding some diversity to your menu. Play some different games or take a break from gaming altogether and devote some time to your other hobbies. If you don't have any other hobbies, then try new things until you do. I cook, craft terrain for miniature wargaming, and practice public speaking with Toastmasters International. Variety is the spice of life.

I have had this happen to me as well, and I can usually combat it easily by doing weird but still halfway viable combos with friends of mine. (Yasuo+Ziggs bot lane, Ashe support, etc.) And if I can get a full team, entire team comps that have no legitimate purpose except to have fun, 5 supports, yordle team, skin set team, etc.

I think the biggest issue you're having is the lack of progression once you hit 30 and you don't play ranked often. The only "selling point" for the game is to play a different champion, change things up, make plays you haven't before. I actually see a lot of people having this same problem as new champs (reworks included) slow down with their releases. Once you're at this point the game starts getting a bit stagnant until new content is released and that's only a stop-gap measure. The new temporary game modes are a good improvement in this regard, as well as any kind of unlockables (summoner icons), but when it comes down to it, this is a multi-player game, and it's true value isn't met when you don't play with friends often.

Now I don't mean to imply you aren't playing with your friends, but anytime you're having LoL I.C. see if any of them want to play with you at that moment. That's my best advice.

Although you've given me the idea for a "Break the Meta esq" chronic post.....although I'll use a different name cuz that phrase is used too often imho....hmmmmm

Play with your friends. That way you can play how you feel and not get bitched at. A group of your friends is far more likely to allow a slide in the meta, or accept your mistakes than a bunch of randoms.

Play Hexakill, nobody takes it seriously anyway. I constantly run into crazy things in Hexakill, it's quite amusing.

Go into normals, Say "Fill." This may seem simple, but you might find out a new position or a new champion which you are really good with and have fun with.
