Don't you guys think the support role is a bit underpowered?

^ what the title says

Like, if you're playing support and your team sucks, that's gg, lol. Playing support with people you don't know is sort of a gamble.

I think they should get some kind of gold income that would let them become a damage dealer, a tank, or a more effective aura/CC-provider. For example, a change in the mastery that lets them get more gold from assists, and buffing the gold-income items that already exist.

Playing jungle and the lanes suck, that's gg

Playing lane and the jungle feeds your lane, that's gg

Playing adc and the support sucks, that's gg

Riot literally just made a change for the supports to become a damage dealer. Not that I completely agree with this philosophy, but "support" annies are rushing a DFG and deleting the adc in bot lane without breaking a sweat. The support role is not underpowered in the least. You supply over half the early damage in bot lane, you supply most of the vision, and the majority of pings and communication early-mid game (if played properly).

Unless this was a troll thread and you were implying that the current supports are in fact op and you were poking fun of the people that are saying they are weak. In that case, 10/10, you got me.

Are you kidding me? Support is quickly becoming the most important role in the game. Annie is an assasin you'd never have before. Leona is a WHOLE TEAM worth of CC on a single champion

And that's not even considering the fact that you are feeding pretty much the way you are going to win. If you protect the ADC well, you'll have a great chance at winning the game. Do everything correct on the support, and you win.
