Should I start ranked?

I have a champion for every lane and I do okay in all of them, should I begin ranked right now? Also, will there be resets when the preseason ends like if I'm in bronze will I be back in unranked???? Thank you guys and also I have almost 180 wins right now.

Most people suggest ranking when you have 500+ normal wins. I personally started at 200 wins and I have to say I should've listened to them. I started Bronze II because of inexperience. It's better to have a bigger champ pool for ranking and you'll get stressed when you lose.

TL DR: You should rank when you have more normal wins.

Also, there will be a soft reset I believe, meaning you will get back to unranked but you're mmr stays with you so you'll most likely be placed back to where you originally are depending on your placement matches.

Yes, all of your Ranked stats will be wiped, but, according to this, it will still affect where you start out from in the new season and your skill level.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend trying to play champs from every lane. I'd get good with several champs from 1-2 lanes; I specialize in ADCs, mid lane APCs, and supports. You don't want to be play a role you're not good at, even if people tell you that you should. Queue dodging will prevent you from playing, starting from 5 minutes 30 seconds, then 30 minutes, then 1 hour after every additional dodge. Again, only play champs that you feel comfortable with playing. People will be more irritated if you play a champ that you're subpar with than if you queue dodge.

FYI, the number of wins doesn't matter. How good you are with the champs you're playing does. Experience > Number of wins every time.

Also, you should know that if you're placed in Bronze, there's a high possibility that you'll be there for a while; Bronze is filled with the people that play ranked games, but aren't good enough to rise in ranks. They're famous for being unhelpful, spiteful, flamers that hate you for doing better or worse than they do. I've heard horror stories about Bronze, and the trolls, flamers, and feeders can keep you in "Elo Hell" for a very long time.

Well, I say do ranked whenever you feel like it. I had, like, no more than 15 wins in normals and I placed in Silver 3. I've since done several ranked matches and at least managed to keep myself in that division, so I'm guessing I wasn't merely carried there by other higher ranked people during placement. Wherever you end up, it most likely corresponds to your skill level and ability to keep a team somewhat cohesive even through toxicity. And you'll always lose some; there's no avoiding it. Just do it, have fun, and fight your way up the ranks from wherever you are placed. :)

Honestly, you should wait to start playing ranked. When I started I ended up in Bronze 1 and it literally took me the entirety of Season 3 to get to Silver 5. In that time I did improve, but its better to focus on a particular lane than to just play everything. Focus on a lane you find fun or are good at. Will you have to play other lanes? Definitely. But thats where you have maybe one or two champs that your decent with and you play safe. Ive had to learn a whole host of champs to play ranked and that has helped me understand the various lanes better.

TL DR: Wait to play until you feel comfortable.

Everyone will be ready for ranked in their own time. I've won less then 200 and i am in silver V. In ranked there is a lot of give and take but learn what works for you and have a plan for everything, because anything can happen in ranked. ANYTHING

I think that you should get a team together before you start ranked! If you start ranked and you just turned level 30 you will get your butt kicked. Maybe you could make another account if you want to but i would try to get a team of 3 or more.

Thank you guys on the insight of ranked! I decided to find a priority lane and support, once I do that I will try ranked sometime in the near future. I also like the team thing, so I hopefully I will find some people! :D Thanks again for the help.
