Alternative jungle item start for Rengar. Any thoughts?

So recently I've been experimenting with forgoing the classic machete 5 pots start with a dorans blade on Rengar. I go smiteless red with a hard leash, go straight to blue and then go for a early gank. I haven't played enough games with that start to know how reliably effective it is so I was wondering if other people that have tried that have had success. Any feedback would be awesome, thanks!

Rejuvination bead, 5 pots. The rejuv bead can build into a spirit stone, then a elder lizard. Or you can build it into a tiamat and go power farm.

longsword 2 pot is decent, but in my personal opinion, machete 5pot is superior.

My new jungle start is machete, two pots and a ward. Summoner spells teleport and ignite. I put the ward by blue, then go to red for a hard leash. As soon as red is finished, I teleport to blue and get that. After using my two pots I'm at almost full health. I then immediately run over to enemy's red. If enemy started with blue, I usually get to red before he does. I wait until lizard is almost defeated, then I jump out of the bushes and slaughter him, using ignite to finish. Usually he's dead right there. His only other option is to run away, at which point I just take his red. Either way it's a win for me.

If enemy invades our blue, there's no one there for them to kill and we know where they are, giving us the advantage if we want to mess with them. And I just go from my red to enemy's blue so no harm done, but while they've been waiting to kill someone who's not there, my team is advancing their lanes.

I have dubbed it the Crane Technique. If do right, no can defense.
