A request for the TT/Dominion/ARAM balance team--how does your team work?

With some recent talk with the community opening the door for us to better understand the Community Beta, relaunches, and iteration, I think it would be awesome if we gained some info about how the map-specific balancing team works as well.

What does the secondary maps balancing team do (non-perjorative meaning here)? I know that somewhere there was research on why many players simply don't enjoy the Crystal Scar as-is--is there more of that sort of thing on the wind?

How much time is spent directly testing out potential champion balance changes? How much time does formulating potential options for changes take?

How does the team test balance changes with a likely reduced pool of QAs with proficiency at the Crystal Scar or Twisted Treeline? Do mutual item changes tend to hobble the speed of item balance between Dominion and 3v3? What about anticipating potential OPs?

When do major changes to map mechanics tend to get tested, and how often are they iterated?

If there's any way to possibly get hired AS a member of the team (even if we have to make a "sales pitch" to do so), what would ideal qualifications be?

I'm curious and think it might be rather interesting to hear.
