Jarvan vs Vi

In the lcs, I saw a decent amount of vi. As a j4 player, I was curious why I never saw him, when they are very similar champs. What does Vi bring to the table that J4 doesn't? They both have aoe knock-ups, shields, Attack speed steroid, armor shred, etc. Also, now, towards the end of the spring split, and the beginning of the summer one, Vi has fallen out of favor. Was it just FF or the weird double jungle/lane swap? I'm no LOL expert and was hoping someone could inform me.

In part, it's because J4's E-Q hitbox got nerfed, so it's rather hard to hit. Vi's gapcloser is much more reliable.

Also, with the mobility creep (most of the common picks have dashes), J4's ult becomes less important than VI's, which you can't just dash out of.

Finally, Vi's better at tower diving, so yes, the lane swaps certainly contributed.
