Worlds Meta Analysis

Hey all, while watching worlds I noticed some shifts in meta and wanted to start a discussion to see where you all think high level play is going.

I haven't watched a lot of games but I watched most of Group B yesterday and some of Group A earlier. I noticed a lot of switch lanes. I thought it was funny that this was such a common strat and yet players are still referenced by their position. So we would have Nasus vs Shyvana in bot lane but the casters would refer to them as top laners.

Anyone notice anything else?

I've been on and off with the WCS games, but the things that I've noticed are 1) general lack of variety in support choices (Sona being the highest priority, Zyra, Fiddlesticks and Nami being second choices, with Thresh being a rare pick in competitive) 2)Corki being a must-have since the Trinity Force rework (personally I think the upcoming nerfs won't be enough to really affect that power spike for another patch or two) 3)AP Assassins in Mid (Particularly Ahri and Fizz. Excellent wave clear and godly burst sorta makes other options seem less playable, and I haven't seen Zed mid yet) I'm sure I've missed some things though.

TLDR: Sona, Corki, Ahri/Fizz
