Not saying I don't like it but I am tired of people yelling and raging the champions I pick without even giving me a chance.

Like I always play support but I never get the chance to play somewhere I really want to go even when I am first pick!

I own champs like riven but not on this account and I always never get to go top as much as I want.

I decided well why not play riven supp for once. Not to be a troll or anything because I did it once before and it didn't turn out bad at all but we still lost but that not the point here.

Oh course I asked my teammates before I even tried to do it and they start to get angry and rage at me instantly so I just went to Lux support or Sona as usual just to calm them down.

I mean what the harm on trying something new? I will play a bot match first before I will try it in pvp always. I would never do it in a ranked match until I know how to play it very well.

What the fun in playing the same old thing every single match I play this game?

I haven't play this game long enough but I heard people use to get mad when you pick annie as a support long ago but as soon as a pro did it, That basically what annie does now most of the time.

Come on it not like I going to play every single champion that not usually play as a support a support because there is so much better but I just trying to prove a point here.

When I first played this game I was very nooby and didn't understand this game at all. So my idea was to play Sivir Top, Ashe mid, and lot of champions in unusual roles at the time.

Sure it wasn't where I was suppose to play these champs but I was having fun doing those kinds of things.

I had awesome wins and then I had very horrible loses, people raging at me (Which I assume they were smurfs) saying "Omg this sivir suck! blah blah blah" I was new for crying out loud! what did they expect from me!

Now I am lvl 30, Everyone will scream at me if I tried to do something different which is the reason why I am NOT going to ranked and deal with it because I not the one who take this game serious.

This is just a game in my eyes and I want to have fun not being bored and hearing people raging at me all day for doing something new.

I don`t know what is wrong with people head when it come to doing something unusual and when it works they still rage at me!

Sorry if this is long and all but I can`t help it but make long thread like this...

That is all I have to say basically and thanks for reading this extremely long thread if you had. :)

Many players are competitive, and want the best chance to win is all. The meta serves as a sort of guideline for what's already established as good in the moment. That being said, straying from it can be seen as risky to others. What if it doesn't work and you feed horribly? That makes the game even harder, and is the perspective that they're focusing on. On the other hand, what it works and you help your team to victory? This is where your perspective is.

That being said, if you want to try something out in a normal match, I say go for it. I've both done and seen my fair share of weirdness and metabreaking that actually worked pretty well. I don't know that I'd try it in ranked, but norms are generally harmless. For example, my team flamed me for playing AD Leona top instead of Jax (who I was originally going to play), even though my lane was the only lane to win. Not to mention I had the best KDA and CS count in the game. My team blamed me for the loss anyway (because I didn't play Jax), but the other team had nothing by honors and "gj" or "fun game".

Moral of the story, if you want to try things outside of Ranked, go for it. Don't worry about what others have to say if you legitimately want to try it without trolling.
