Kog'Maw Caustic Spittle (Q) Change, not the right direction @Riot Balance Team

If his Q can be blocked by an enemy Tank/Minion it will only lower his DPS. I have a few proposed alternative changes you could probably try Riot staff.

  1. Increase Live Version of Caustic Spittle Range for the duration of Bio-Arcane Barrage.
  2. Allow the skill shot to go through multiple targets dealing reduced damage and reduced Armor and MR shred.
  3. Make the skill shot explode on impact and deal damage and apply to shred to nearby enemies. (a la Quinn's 'Blinding Assault' (Q))
  4. Make the MR & Armor reduction a percentage. (Possibly only for Kog'Maw's damage as opposed to it working like Black Cleaver)

Here's the thing though: if live Kog'Maw is using his Q active, he's too close. He already has lower DPS from not being able to use it in actual fights.

Can the Q skillshot idea be improved? Sure. But I think we should stick with just the skillshot for now to see if it puts Kog in a good place.

I liked number 2, maybe even make it a bit like Lissandra's Q and only apply the MR and Armor Reduction on enemies hit by the cone, not the damage.
