I played a game as Syndra in ARAM earlier this evening, but when I died this one time, a mask popped up above her corpse. It kinda looked like Kindred's to me. I have no idea how or why it happened, but apparently no one else in the game was able to see it.
Our team: Kayle, Amumu, Singed, Syndra (me), and Orianna Enemy team: Kog'Maw, Alistar, Vladimir, Leona, and Tristana

Basically yeah, just a teaser for the new champ for people who don't keep up with the news. Plus it ties in new champs into the game in a fun way.
Just had a ranked game as the Urgod. Died 3 times, of those two I got both masks (maybe all 3 tbh, was too busy basking in the split second first blood glory). A fitting death to a regal crab god.
This has been happening since the first teaser for Kindred. I've found it often happens to at least one teammate within 30 seconds of the game starting, when everyone is leaving base. It's just a "They're coming" Teaser thingy, to keep Kindred on people's minds,
Kinda similar to how laughing in the river before Tahm's release caused him to laugh back at you. I think it might still, actually.. But the last time I tried it I was playing Tahm(And it didn't work), so I dunno for sure if it still works after his release.
