Was looking forward to Treeline changes, until I found out people only use the map for IP farming...

Title says it all. I never play games on TT (mainly enjoy ARAM or an occasional team builder), but when I saw the kinds of changes Riot was making to the map, I got pretty excited. I wanted to try out a couple of games, but soon found out that my enemy team was just a bunch of sub-bar bots. Not one, or even two. But all three were IP farming bots. And this happened in my second game too. One of my teammates told me this was really common practice for the map. It destroys all the fun in the game. It's not worth winning if you don't have to try for it.

Is Riot doing anything to address this issue? Would appreciate it if a Rioter could give some insight into this.

All this talk of bots and I have yet to ever see one in TT. Its the only map I ever play and ive never once seen a bot. Unless im playing bots. over 1.7k games in TT never once seen a bot.

you might be in the MMR range where there aren't any bots and started playing TT before people started heavily using them. people in lower MMRs see a lot of them, ik when i played ARAM for the first time it was the same thing for awhile until i started getting a better MMR

I've seen only a few bots once in awhile but it's been quite some time since I've run into any, I think people just need to play more games on there and improve their MMR so they don't run into the bots.

I don't know where people find the programs for these bots, but I'm sure a google search will lead you to information or the source. I don't really care where they come from -- I just want them gone.

I get that there's MMR for ranked, but is there technically a Normal match mmr? I don't have a ton of games on TT, so maybe that's the issue?

There's at least one bot in every single game I've played with the exception of one match. it seems normal at this point. I hate it.

Sure, those things could solve the problem, but it doesn't fix the fact that people sell these accounts for money or that players have to waste time dealing with bots before they can get an actual match, wherein they can practice the map before going to ranked. Maybe people can get over the fact that ranked is a giant rage/AFK/negativity-fest, but I don't play ranked specifically for that reason.

Bottom line: illegal/unethical/immoral activities shouldn't be tolerated and need to be stopped.

Actually I think more should complain. It's very much been a thorn in my side and others. I think it's great if you haven't encountered them, but I bet if you had to start over and be forced to slug through them for a couple of months you'd have a different attitude. That is if it really is tied to MMR...I'm hoping so for my own sanity. I noticed some posts indicating it could be timezone/player population related..ie I'm on late night US typically and there are just less humans playing.
