Someone has been using my account for over a year!

I quit the game after Eve was reworked with no ad ratios several years ago. I haven't touched this game since.

Now I'm getting emails all of a sudden saying that my username and account name has been changed. Worried about my security I jet over here and change my passwords. I was successful but i see there are ALOT of games played.

They've had access to my account for a very long time. I had a unique password just for league so I do not understand how they would have gained access without having some serious access to my home computer/network. I run my business on this network, I have my ip cams and printers and backups on this network and I think I'm completely compromised. If there is anyone from Riot that could help me with some tips PLEASE tell me where to begin securing my life!

I thought I was secure, I thought my equipment was clean. It's not.

Also all my names and usernames has been changed. Is there is any way we can change everything back?

There has been multiple occasions throughout the years where Riot's shoddy security has led to account details being compromised. Unfortunately I personally also know of several people whose League accounts were hacked, all IT guys with strong passwords who quit playing for a while just because Riot's security is straight buns. Hopefully you will be able to get back into it, most websites that sell League accounts actually have a stipulation where you're not allowed to change the password just so it doesn't come back to bite them in the ass. Not every person who gets into accounts follows that rule though obviously.

Are you sure the problem is on your end? Are any other accounts like email, amazon, etc affected?

As far as I know it is entirely possible that they got your information from a Riot database that wasn't secured enough.

Could have been brute forced. It happened to me while I was logged into the game I changed my password and made sure two step verification was on and contacted support. I dont click spam emails that say "such and such account has been compromised change your password"
