ARAM is more enjoyable than SR

Is it only me or do you find ARAM has the most balanced gameplay? Winner is not decided by 10min mark, less stupid burst dmg, team fights last longer and there is more valiability of working builds (e.g AP Nasus). It reminds me old good seasons S1-S4.

And you mustn't beg to your jungler to get dragon while you win the bot lane xd

It's fun yeah, but of course there are more teamfights.. its 10 people in 1 lane. Also a lot of arams are decided pre 10 due to comps such as lux morg and 3 adcs on the same team lol.

We will have to see if it stays that way after they've decided which "changes" to save after 9.7.

While the average ARAM game time is sitting at a nice and healthy 19 minutes, games can often go longer which can feel really rough if you were expecting something shorter than a Summoner’s Rift game. Even just the risk of a game going 30+ minutes might make it so you don’t have time to play at all, so we’re removing that risk.

From game start to 15:00, champions deal 10% more damage to structures. At 15:00, that value increases linearly until 25:00 when they’ll deal 30% bonus damage to structures.

I really don't like the look of this, at six you can already lose first two towers from 1 team wipeout. I am looking forward to banning lux though and backtrack skarner.

BUFFS: Akali: +12% damage dealt & -8% damage taken Evelynn: +12% damage dealt & -5% damage taken

These changes seem dangerous.....

No Scuttle crab to worry about in aram No baron/dragon No Splitpushing

It's pretty gud

i wish riot would realize most people that play lots of aram dont do it because the rules of the game mode are particularly fun. they become a necessary evil that you endure because of the ACTUAL reason to play aram -- i.e., it isn't fuckin rift. its literally only good because rift is such a dumpster fire that it makes everything else better. aram map is better, theres no bullshit in the actual gameplay. the bullshit comes from busted ass one sided games, though. theyre only slightly less infuriating than rift bullshit.

bans and aram balance will help, but still i feel like if poro king with bans existed as a permanent mode, aram would fizzle out fast.

the title of this post says it all. aram is better than rift. thats about it.

In SR, the winning team is at least decided in-game, even if it's only within the first few minutes. In ARAM, the winning team can be determined at the loading screen most of the time. There are exceptions. But as far as forgone conclusions, ARAM is much guiltier of that.

ODiiiiiN3/21/2019, 5:40:24 PM2 votes

they should have a draft ARAM.. or DAM... bc the only problem with aram is when one team gets all the good champs and the other one gets the short stick.

like lets say :

Veigar Ziggs MissFortune Jhin Malphite

vs

Janna Soraka AurelionSol Bard Elise

Original Sin3/20/2019, 8:21:58 PM2 votes

I love aram because I don't have to rely on my jungler every game to not invade and do some stupid play and feed. Dont have to rely on shitty bot lane to win lane. I love aram. SR is stale

Jootow3/20/2019, 9:39:02 PM2 votes

It is more enjoyable than SR, that's why they are making it crap w/ these incoming changes. Can't take away from SR !!! Instead of figuring out more ways to make SR more enjoyable, just make other game modes less fun. Sounds great!!

SanKakU3/21/2019, 2:40:35 AM1 votes

Less burst damage? Which version of ARAM are you playing? It's 5 vs 5 and people like picking mages in this mode.

nJacob3/21/2019, 9:01:16 AM1 votes

ARAM is fun and balanced until you play vs Ziggs

Eldeazar3/21/2019, 9:19:00 AM1 votes

YES, for me personally for the following reasons:

It's more about teamplay than SR No laning phase There is no "mid fed, bot winning, report mid", "report jungler, no gank" everyone saw everyone playing People are just more chill, far less toxicity It's more fast paced It's not usually decided by one hyper carry

The shopkeeper has some epic VO

Grokmir3/21/2019, 1:34:55 PM1 votes

As someone with over 2k games of aram I highly disagree.

BestGmers3/21/2019, 3:29:50 PM1 votes

Yeah it's true but still who has the most broken champions wins but there is no drake or baron so

Naono3/21/2019, 6:12:31 PM1 votes

Always was and always will be.

No worry about losing lane. Falling behind in CS. Objective is clear and straight forward.

It actually comes down to skill. Knowing your opponents kit and your teams.

While they are broken champs, there's a chance of winning, through either lack of team play on whichever side or just that an individual lack of skill with that particular champ. Much factors to winning or losing than just comp or champs.

And most of all, way less flaming, likely due to absence what I stated with lane and cs. Flaming usually occur if someone feels they robbed of a kill, or not carrying, someone performing poorly, whether with the champ, failing to avoid or land skill shot. But it rarely extends for the entire game.

Tl;dr The pressure is less. Don't have to really worry about your individual performance as there is no laning phase.

P.s. No Vision Ward 😶

Floupi3/21/2019, 8:46:55 PM1 votes

Sona Ziggs Being almost auto-win sure is balanced lol

But i agree aram is pretty fun

Prankenstein3/21/2019, 10:31:26 PM1 votes

Even if it is not perfectly balanced, it is way more fun than SR.

DrippyBrownHole3/20/2019, 6:15:04 PM1 votes

Teamfights are much easier to impact, and since ARAM is only teamfights, you enter with a sense that you have a chance.

Compare that to Rift, where you have no control over where four other jokers screw around for 40 minutes. It's a lot more chance-based whether you win there or not, even with the random champion assignments in ARAM.

An all-mid where you could select your champion and have rift-like bans would be the most competitive and fair mode LoL has ever seen.

SociopathFriend3/20/2019, 7:33:52 PM1 votes

I agree however I also play way more ARAM under the premise that my internet is horrible and my brothers both live on Netflix. If I lag out or DC in ARAM, it's not that bad because it's a short match anyways that nobody takes seriously. If I do the same on the Rift, I might end up leaving other people holding the short end of the stick for 10 to 15 minutes.

FilDaFunk3/20/2019, 7:59:48 PM1 votes

Usually depends on whether or not people want to give up. I've definitely won games where the champ select showed us to be at a disadvantage.

oortoomeebreesuu3/20/2019, 9:59:35 PM1 votes

me every time i make the mistake to queue up for aram:

this is fucking boring, oh my god this is so boring

Blue Moon Wolf3/20/2019, 10:07:10 PM1 votes

Honestly yea, I've been enjoying ARAM far more then I have the regular mode. Not only that, but it feels like they are testing changes in a far healthier way as well. Soon they will be testing a lesser item 3026, minion changes, Ghostwalkers, a new ARAM Summoners spell, Bans AND poke nerfs to see how things work and all of these are just that. Tests. Some of this could make it into the game, some of this may get tweaked, other stuff will be thrown out. It's all for the sake of testing.

Sirsir3/20/2019, 10:13:04 PM1 votes

Disagree on decided winners and build viability. AP nasus is better but regular nasus is garbage, its usually a wash. And occasionally winning teams are decided in champ roll, when one team scrapes something decent together and the other team rolls the god five.

Of course teamfights last longer, the entire mode is one big teamfight!

Neptunia xoxo3/20/2019, 10:13:38 PM1 votes

Yeah no. Aram is cancer and has way more balance issues than SR. Go ahead and keep living in your own fantasy world xd

Grace3/20/2019, 10:19:12 PM1 votes

I sort of kind of agree, but Summoners Rift feels better to play than Howling Abyss. ARAM can be pretty good sometimes, some of the matchups can be boring to play but I often find the games can go either way 60%+ of the time. A couple days ago I had a 40 minute ARAM game where the kill counts for either team were only ever ahead of one another by 2-3. It swung back and forth 5-6 times and we did end up winning.

A lot of people complain about poke champions but I usually see heavy poke teams lose to bruiser/dive type teams around 10-15minute power spikes.

Jeddy0173/20/2019, 10:23:29 PM1 votes

While I do enjoy ARAM, it does have plenty of it's own frustrations too.
