Why are Canadians nicer than Americans
Is it the cold weather
Is it the cold weather
It is because they used sorcery and dark magic to move all of their meanness to their geese.
maybe its because canadians dont tend to invade other countries by making war?
maybe because the are self-aware of being inmigrants, and not treating their country like its the whole continent?
idk, just crazy ideas of mine
Universal healthcare leads to healthier & happier people, I'm sure. Also the weed.
Obviously exposure to moose makes people nicer.
I think the real question is why are Americans so angry.
Canada has plenty of assholes they just are mostly in Toronto and Edmonton.
It's just a stereotype
Depends on the province, and even the city.
Generally Canadians on the coasts are really nice. Especially the East coast. It's a little surprising because the average salary out there is the lowest in the country (however maybe the cost of living is lower there). They're all very generous, a solid community though. I have to think that the reason they're nice is because the population is lower. Not a dense population, so people know everyone better. Which means you're nicer to everyone in general. When someone is visiting or just you generally meet a new person, you're nice because that's how you've been with everyone you've ever known.
Now go to Ontario (where I live)? Toronto is a lot like most of the busier states (New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, etc...) - worse if anything. People in service jobs in the states are REALLY nice to their customers. In Ontario the service staff are mostly neutral, which is amazing given how rude a lot of the customers treat them. I worked at a coffee shop while in highschool, and you wouldn't believe how rude customers can be (the whole "customer is always right" mentality, and especially the older ones feel like they can bully students).
Don't even get me started on Quebec. They're probably the worst of the lot. Now to be fair, my experiences with Quebec are limited mostly to Montreal, so the smaller cities in Quebec could be a LOT better (they probably are a lot more like the East coast). However Montreal is as bad as Toronto, except add on the "we speak French so we're better than you" attitude that a lot of Quebecois seem to have. Try speaking French with them, and they complain that your French isn't perfect (hello, your English isn't very good either, but I don't complain about that). Never in my life have I seen another group of people (including French people from France) that complain so much when someone tries to learn their language. My French is 10000x better than my Chinese, and yet when I tried speaking to some Chinese people in China they were all so impressed that I knew some Chinese and were very encouraging. Speak French to people in Quebec? They complain immediately and say they'll speak English instead.
My experiences in the states? People in general public aren't really nice, but almost everyone in their workplaces really are. Not just to customers too (I interned at a consulting firm in the states for 4 months and my workplace was really good). Now, there's a serious Jaywalking problem (at least in Chicago), but IDK if that really is about being nice.
Is it the cold weather
Yar? It makes them more chill.
I think its the maple syrup and how gooey it is. It can be used for more than just putting it on your pancakes too.
probably because we have kinder surprise
Canadians are not nicer than Americans.
fuck you thats why......(i kid)
As a Canadian I'm willing to field any questions you may have I'll be as honest as I can
It's not that Canadians are nicer than Americans, is that Americans are meaner than Canadians.
canadians don't have anything to inflate their collective ego
You mean there is another country in NA? Shit where is this Canada at anyways? How far from seattle, don’t want to live where I can get invaded!
because we don't have a President.
DONALD TRUMP
Along with maple syrup, there's also poutine.
USA should just annex Canada like they did in the Fallout universe
