#5 – Way2k (Top Lane, Team Enigma)
“After the past two seasons, we knew something needed to change. This year I’m back with a new team behind me, a new outlook on the game and a burning desire to take home the Championship and secure our trip to Worlds. I think I’m going to get underestimated going back to an old role, but teams better watch out because this year, I have a score to settle.”
He’s back for a third season ladies and gentlemen and he’s taking the reigns from Cold, looking to turn around the struggling Team Enigma squad. After two straight seasons being knocked out of the Gauntlet and denied a playoff berth by Boricua and his gang (GE and FST), Way2k is a lot more optimistic coming in to Season 6. For starters, there is no more Gauntlet and Boricua is sitting out this season, so he won’t meet that fate for a third time, but ultimately, he’s moved from Jungle to Top and is looking pretty high calibre in the off-season. Watch Way2k and EGM as they take on Crown Spektre (CS) on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 8pm EST.
#4 – Polaris (Top Lane, Conqueror Gaming)
“The first time I was here, I succumbed to hunger. This time I’m back from training in the mountains to scourge the rift. I’ve been through the rough and now I’m heading to the top while dual wielding electric swatters because my competition is nothing but insects to me. My name is Po “Hungryplayer” laris, I enjoy taking long walks on the beach and drinking enemy top laner’s tears.”
To some of the new fans that just joined us last season, the name “Polaris” might not mean too much, but for the die-hard ABL fans they have not forgotten this talented and “hungry” Top Laner. He made his debut in Season 4 on Vital Point Storm only playing a few games that season and ultimately ending up in free agency, but what a huge impact he had for his team – the fact that he has never gotten a win in the ABL makes him even hungrier for victory in Season 6. Catch Polaris and CQR in action on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 8 PM EST as they take on Cetra Gaming (CG).
