Ranked has gone to hell

So first out of the gates Season 9, I go into Solo/Duo placements eagerly with my friend and we don't do too badly but we lose the game. This results in my placement rank being Bronze II, not bad but my previous rank was SILVER II. thats not a few divisions down thats an ENTIRE TIER down.

After placements I barely scraped Silver IV and I've been getting paired with shitty teammates for essentially all of my games (Feeders, Flamers, AFKs), even though I go positive in most of them. Genuinely what the hell is wrong with ranked...
