Where are the Champion Teasers and Login Screens

This is gonna be a kind of big rant but I feel like its an important aspect that the game just left behind. Recently, the newer characters have felt very rushed overall, with their kits and whatnot, but i'm not here to complain about that. What really makes me sad is the fact that Riot has stopped making teasers for the champions, both as in game and videos. I've been watching a lot of the ones in the past recently and I forgot how much I absolutely loved them, and now they don't exist. The last champ that I can remember with some sort of teaser is either zoe or kai'sa with the sleep bubble or the rift dying in a special way. All the champs after those have just been thrown at us with what seems like little care whatsoever. This isn't the only thing that makes me sad about the current state of the game, but the login screens as well. The music for new characters still exists, and still sounds amazing, but the only new actual login screens we get are event ones and the one that repeats constantly when there isn't an event, for the seasons existence. When Morde, Panth, Qi and even Yummi were released there were no special logins to go with it, but you could go to youtube to listen to them, At the very least. I know that odds are this is just going to be ignored and lost in the depths of the boards, and even if it causes some talk among the community odds are nothing will change, but if anything does happen with teasers, even an explanation of why they left, same with the login screens, i'd be more than happy with the use of my time of making this post.

They're simply cutting corners so much so that they are removing the login screen altogether and using it as an excuse or sth (we all know that making people get into games faster isn't their only reason behind it it's pretty obvious). Just imagine how much effort/ money the saved by not making those and instead used it on sth like TFT that brings in loads of cash ny their gambling little legends system, or the Eternals purchasable achievements jstifying it with a little sparkle ontop of an already existing system.

I loved the game for it's characters and art. When they made stupid sht like releasing ridiculous things like EXTREMELY overpriced skins looking like they were dipped in yellow paint (Fizz's has by far the only "prestige" skin worth bying, it's a prestige skin done right) i used to justify it by all the other things they are producing thinning that "well at least we're getting all this amazing stuff in return for the somewhat greediness

(chests having keys that drop by random chance is a giveaway, "You ishould be thankful they 're giving chests skins for free" yeah no, one would be blind if they thought the hextech system wasn't put in place to draw in more profit hint hint the increase of OE prices justified by converting to BE)

Now? They're cutting every corner they get and i'm hating where this company have headed now more than ever.

Hey! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. You're not being ignored and this isn't being lost in the depths of the boards :)

Let me make sure I'm understanding you correctly - When you say we're moving away from teasers, what kinds are you referring to? In-game easter eggs on PBE? A video teaser before we show the gameplay trailer?

For every champion, we (the publishing team) think about the best way to intro the champion to players. It's not something we decide lightly - we spend a lot of time talking and planning. Sometimes we do something that doesn't work, which feels bad. But we try to remember those learnings. Yuumi and Qiyana did have champion teasers that came out before the main gameplay trailer. To shed some light on that process, we spent a lot more time and resources on those videos (esp. the 3D intros of the Qiyana and Yuumi Trailer) than we have in our past champ videos.. and I think the overall quality surpasses a lot of the stuff we showed in the past (besides the million $ CGs of course).

We didn't do an in-game Easter Egg for Yuumi and Qiyana, but that doesn't mean it's off the table! In fact, we have one in the works... The point is that we're going to work on cool stuff that we think you'll like to see and it won't always be the same every time.

For the login screens, yeah the loss of login screens really sucks. Part of it is out of my control. Like, you won't actually be able to see them anymore with the new client. That doesn't mean we gave up. We asked, what do people like about the login screens? An answer we got was that they really brought the champion and the thematic to life. Esp. with the awesome music. So for Pantheon, we created a Champion Theme that showed off more of the love we put into the art behind-the-scenes, and how the champion came to life over time. Over some really dope music. Do people like it more than the old login screen videos we did? I dunno, it depends on your taste :P But the point is, we're going to keep experimenting with ways on how we reveal our stuff in a meaningful way.

They’re removing them altogether. When their new client rolls in, they’ll let players stay logged in. That way they don’t have to make login screens so they have more time to make their gambling system worse.

The fun of easter eggs is that you don't know when they're coming and what they're for - I don't only work on Champs, so no comment :) And hello!

Theyre adding a stay logged in button and since no one will see them much anymore they're removing the feature entirely.

I especially don't like how their videos these days are just some obnoxious gameplay with annoying character lines thrown in.

What happened to a lot of old stuff that made people hyped up and appreciate Riot? Remember Traditional skins? I'd love to play a traditional Poppy or Sion but they never bothered after a certain point, which blows.

Ekko Seconds and Jhins AMAZING teaser. That was Riots peak. With these cash grab systems and by cutting corners (Removing modes and events, because EVENT PASS IS NOT AN EVENT) (sorry) they will never reach the same level. League will die in a few years from now. I just. Love the game still. But these updates and taking so much stuff away just shows that Riot forgot the importance of customer service.

Cuz rito doesn't want to spend money they only want to receive money
