Lets Get Riot to Give ARAM Some Love.
It's been about two months now since the new ranked season has started and I think I have already decided to hang up my cape and quit ranked altogether. I have always enjoyed ARAM the most, but the feeling of no reward for time spent playing it or winning a game has me focusing more energy in a less fun environment (ranked). Since the season has started, the majority of my games have been one-sided, where either my team or the other has one but usually multiple players that play very poorly or intentionally feed. I have no proof that the players that play very poorly are de-ranking but it is pretty clear when someone is intentionally feeding. They usually run by themselves into a team of 5, or tower dive the enemy with a very small margin of success. This is why I would like Aram to be shown more love. My favorite part about ARAM is that majority of the time, every person on both teams is trying their best, and the outcome is a great experience whether you win or lose. The back and forth team fights with the motivation and strive to win make it so much fun. These are the games that got me so addicted to league, are these games possible in ranked? Yes! However over the 6 years I have played this game, it seems they become less and less frequent, while trolls and feeding players become more and more common. And yet out of the 6 years I have played ARAM, I can say that I have had a majority of great experiences with teammates and gameplay in general. That is why instead of asking riot for improvement on something that seems very unlikely to ever be fixed by them. I would like for them to acknowledge ARAM players more by adding badges or even borders you can display in the loading screen and on your profile. As a community, we should decide what the badges represent! Whether it's time spent on the Howling Abyss, games won in under 20, an aram mastery rank like you get for champions, or even an amount of ARAM games played.
