Why Should I Continue to Play?

The gameplay is addictive, the community can be helpful, and the lore is pretty cool. Riot keeps releasing skins, champions, and new features, and sure, the game is pretty, is fun, and they're starting to branch out and create more games. But I don't think Riot is branching out anymore. There is a new issue seemingly every patch because they're leaving League to die and thinking we won't notice.

I don't think branching out is the right word. They ARE branching out, to design other games.

What you're looking to say, is that the art and lore and designs are splendid. But the backend, the client and programming, are a fucking mess. No one fixes the bugs until they're game-breakingly unavoidable (friends list bug), or until Vandril or a streamer shows them off. The balance choices are either amazing or trash, and nothing inbetween. It takes AT LEAST several patches before braindead OP champs get nerfed, and the only ones that get buffed get new skins to accompany the buffs. Hmm...

The same thing happened with Rift: the game generated revenue, but instead of investing it back into the game, Trion siphoned off the money into a pile of ill-fated side projects and the company went belly-up. It's a miracle the game still exists.
