Old PBE Account not Linked w/ my Main Account

I've had a PBE account** since 2015. **

Today, I went on their website to** "check eligibility"** and it seems that my current PBE account is no longer linked with my main account. Now, I'm able to create another account with their** "NEW PBE signup"**. My old account was ALWAYS usable and was never really disabled for more than 1 period of time due to the old rotation system.

**Does anyone know if the PBE system is totally different or is it still the same? If it's the same, should I just ask Riot to rebind it? **

P.S What are the benefits if my PBE account is linked to my main account?

_Edit# 2: _ ** I ended up mailing a Riot and they responded that since my account was made in between 2013 and 2016*, my account isn't really linked to my main account. Also, that I don't need to go through the hassle of making a new account but instead, make another account. Plus, there are no real benefits so I can just keep using my current PBE account!
