For people who dislike non-meta runes, champions, item builds

For something to be meta, it has to **not ** be meta first.

To quote Apdo (the greatest soloq player of all time)

"Finding the best item options...Bronze, Silver, Golds, they are better at finding them.

For example the standard Blue Ezreal, was made by a gold player in EU

I'm sure that man was flamed into existence everytime he used the build, but you know what? It became meta. It became standard.

There is virtually no reason NOT to try every option that you think might be good.

Runaan's on Ashe? People thought that was garbage, whoopsie, now it's meta, and if you don't buy it you're "trolling"

Point is: Shut up and let people do whatever they want, and stop flaming them when they don't follow your linear thought process.

If you can explain your thought process and have a reason for building what you do, then it's perfectly valid. That's not to say there aren't troll builds though.

That's... not really true. There very much IS a reason for sub-diamond players not to try every troll build they think might work. Because they often lack the game knowledge to understand why something can work and what circumstances it may work under.

That's why we have MF "support" constantly at a sub-40% win rate thanks to people not understanding the team comp and matchups that allowed it to work in pros, and how the rune changes effect it.

And no, you're just... flat lying on some points. Runaan's on Ashe? That's always been intended as one of her core items. And while when it isn't strong it does follow the TRUE definition of non-meta, what you're defending is trolling, not non-meta.

How about stop playing a team game if you're going to be selfish and act like the whole team should pick and play around you not understanding the game?

there is a big difference between trying out tank Viktor top lane and literally inting with shen ADC.

I still maintain I was the one who started ER rush on Ashe.

My logic was stupid as fuck (it was because I kept running out of mana, not...whatever reason it was actually used for), but that's not the point. My point is low tier often has the best chances of discovering a new meta, because higher tier usually can't risk deviating from the main path to try something else, or they'll drop far.

Truth. I theoryceafted the strongest Shaco build post-rework and it was full ap with a gunblade and an IE.

The amount of people that looked at me sideways until it became common practice was silly. It didnt last long until Shaco got nerfed and had spell changes for having too strong of a build path afterwards.

I still remembered the time when Vladimir just got updated in the Mage update & the whole community stated that he sucks balls & never picked him. But all of the sudden, everyone changed their minds when pro-players picked him & starts herding him like a fucking sheep.

Well, problem with e-sport games, really. Gamers look at pro builds too much, they are afraid to try out something new.

While true, I do want to point out that these cases are often the exception, not the norm. That's not to say don't try (by all means, experiment) but 9/10 times your crazy theorycraft build is actually....not good. Which is ok!
