When is riot adding missions to the Merch store? I'm planning to buy.

They already make you buy event passes when events used to be completely free, if they ever pull some kind of shit like "Buy x from the store" missions or "Spend x money in the merch store" there will be a revolution.

Events were never completely free. The first events just had the only way to get more tokens besides the few free ones being "give more money for token packs" instead of "or buy a pass and just play the game".

Events were never completely free. The first events just had the only way to get more tokens besides the few free ones being "give more money for token packs" instead of "or buy a pass and just play the game".
The "First events" were extra IP weekends where you earned extra IP just for playing the game, before it became play with friends to get extra IP. They also once did a free pool party event where people got free icons and NA almost got the pool party mundo for free, I forget which region but another region won in points and got the skin.
