Riot, you can't just overhype a game mode for weeks, get people to clear their schedules in and get friends to clear theirs for the sake of clash, then... Cancel it three hours before it starts? You're not a small indie game company, you're possibly one of the biggest game companies in the world. How can you have just caught a "bug" or technical issue a couple hours into releasing clash? Isn't that what's the pbe for? If not, don't you do thorough tests of your modes before releasing them? Surely in the month and a half since clash beta, you worked on it. Even clash beta worked pretty well IMO. Very disappointed and I'm sure many others are as well. Cmon Riot, get your sht together.[slayer-jinx-unamused]

You don't understand Game Development then. A bug or error can pop up at any time, for any reason.

Also, you don't think Riot is kicking themselves for this? Believe me, they are just as, if not more upset than you are.

Eh, thats true. But usually, beta is supposed to get progressively better not worse.

Obviously you don't understand it. bugs don't just POP up randomly with out some one doing something to the game/code. OBVIOUSLY they didn't check it completely, as any game breaking bug that would cause a cancellation should have been found weeks ago. Its pure laziness, and lack of testing.

Why does every moderator, advisor etc. kiss Riots ass so much? Whatever they do, one of you will show up in a thread defending them. Is that a requirement for you to get this unpaid job? As OP mentioned many people actually changed their schedules to be able to play this, and then Rito fucks it up 2 to 3 hours before, while having multiple tests in the past, and as the cherry on top we have a moderator come here and say "Rito did nothing wrong", seriously dude.

He mentioned in the post you quoted that "Riot is kicking themselves," this shows that the moderator is aware that Riot messed up. Let's make this clear; no one is absolving Riot from their mistakes with this launch of clash.

We can all agree that Riot should do a better job at thoroughly testing for critical bugs that might develop due to changes they make to the system and whatnot. No sane person would argue that Riot did as good of a job as possible. No one is here to say that we shouldn't blame them. Those interested in clash (myself included) are upset/disappointed as we should be. But on the same token, we can be aware that bugs can happen. It's good to express discontent, but to ask how you can let a bug slip through testing is a little silly. Simply put, they didn't see it coming.

I'm hoping they will write up a post at some point to describe the story from their end (kind of like https://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/riot-games/editorial/total-recall-or-time-we-disabled-ranked). NA Clash beta was relatively smooth other than confusion about how subs worked for me. I was honestly surprised any bug came up that was so critical to the whole Clash feature.

OP, you clearly don't understand what an unforeseen technical issues even mean. This problem hasn't appeared at Riot's Clash's beta testing for any region. And the moment it was ready to start, a big problem came up.

You can hold Riot accountable for this bug and it's their problem to fix but do you seriously expect of them to expect the unexpected? How the hell didn't you expect this if you think they were supposed to be ahead of the curve?

If you're holding them responsible for not being clairvoyant, hold yourself responsible for the same reason you didn't predict this ahead of time and canceled your plans before you made them.
