Bring back honor an enemy

I just really miss being able to honor enemies since, sometimes the enemies are better behaved than teammates. I think it would also help cut down on people being toxic, since good/civil/sportsmanlike behavior would most likely get you the best results. It may also allow more players to receive honors, since most duo's will still honor their party member regardless. Even if you were limited to one enemy honor per match, that's a guarantee non-premade honor. You could also recieve cool loot/rewards that encourage players to give and receive these kinds of honors. (If you really want to get fancy, you could even get a specific icon that reflected how often you honored enemies after a lost/won game.) I found a post from roughly 2 years ago that mentions it, but no updates? Why was it even removed when the new honor system rolled out?

idk man. I just honestly miss being able to honor enemies*[sg-janna]*

Why isn't this still a thing Rito?

They removed enemy honor because it was abused on the wrong opponent.

Instead of honouring an opponent for trying his best, they're honouring those who fed them.

I agree!! I was just thinking about this the other day. I think everyone has experiences where you have a bad game but the enemies end up being the nicest or most fun to play around. Yes, the game is centered around being nice and working with your own team but the same should be said about enemies as well and putting this system back in place would help that.

Agreed. Majority of the players I find honorable are my enemies, not my teammates.

True it sometimes feels nice when you see someone trying their best to 1v9 they will have like 10 kills mid or top but everyone else will keep feeding but they keep doing their best and itd be nice to honor them but then their team just honor their feeding duos

They've already talked about this in an 'Ask Riot' years ago, they can't because it would require modifying a lot of code that is already in place.

I imagine they're slow with it since it doesn't earn them money and other stuff like client stability or refining their banning system would be higher on their priority list of things to change on player behavior/client.

Its somewhere on the backburner with death recap.

Played a game where the enemy mid and ADC afked. Top, Jungle, and Support were all pretty chill, not toxic, and having a good time with us. They weren't doing too bad for a 3v5 either. Wish I could have honored all of them, cause damn, that could have gone so many terrible ways.

Ye riot. Is it really that hard to do? a lot of people want it, a lot people are honoring opponents more than teammates. Like they are not opponents, but enemies...

I totally agree. I was playing yesterday and I was like 'man, we should be able to honor enemies again'. Is so unfair when an enemy deserves it and you can't just praise him/her with honor

hello we here at rito shames assure you that we would bring this feature back if it wouldnt require us so much work. it might not sound like much but copy pasting 1 line of code from the old honor system and slightly adjusting it is something that would take one employee most likely about 5 minutes.

and with our size and budget we cant risk this investement.

but we assure you, we do our best to ignore your wishes and stick our finger up your ass.

kind regards, rito shames. https://puu.sh/CZO5X/02a7c011dd.jpg

I don't really honor anyone so I don't care lol

Honoring Enemies would promote players to respect the opposing team, or to thank a player for being SO BAD at the game that it was practically a 4v5. Either way it's a good thing.
