Riot Philosophy

I can remember a time when Riot said they didn't want to force champions into certain roles. They let the players decide how they wanted to play their champions. Play in whatever lane you want. Experiment and have fun. That's been done with for some time, but now it's gotten worse. Sona and Soraka getting too big in top lane? Riot smacks them with restrictions and tells those bitches to get back to bot lane where they belong.

Riot in 2020 - "Oh, you thought you were gonna be a strong, independent woman? LOL There ain't no kitchen in the top lane, wtf you doing here?"

Riot smacks them with restrictions

A nerf isn't a restriction. A nerf is what someone gets if that someone has 56+% winrate with quite a huge pickrate, promotes non-interactive gameplay and all that in fucking Master+ elo

They are too constricting on what they think the game should be instead of just letting it evolve naturally. Oh ya and just do a hard reset on mmr and rank every season I dont knw why they dont bring this up. Whats so bad about it?

Off-meta is fine, until people start to dislike it.

Thats basically how it goes. Ask any1 here what kind of off-meta pick would they prefer and i shit you not it will be some meme-y and completely weak bs that only works in low level blind pick games.

people dont realise that if off-meta pick doesnt have something that makes it better than meta picks, it wont be played.

The community needs to make a choice: Either allow off-meta, but in return deal with the fact that it will sometimes be bonkers and it will be up to them to find answers to it, or dont allow off-meta, and dont allow any champ to go out of their intended roles and builds.

Hey there,

This hasn't exactly been civil, so I'm locking this thread.

As a note to the OP: Please refrain from making sexist comments like this:
