Diamond + rank reset question

Okay so atm I'm D4. They said they will demote diamond players for 1 tier, flooring at diamond 4. But does that mean if I get 80lp, will I be downed back to 0? Cuz at this point it's really hard to gain any lp at all (win 15, lose 22) and I am not even sure if it's worth to play before the end of the March at all...

I want to go around 80 LP and just continue the climb once they are finished with demoting, but I'm unsure whether my LP will fall to 0 or not. Does anybody have a clue?

Well, what do you have right now? It already went through so...

Glad to know we're still being trolled with win minimum lose maximum though since I'm +12 w/l or something and only earn 14 whereas I earned 24 per win in Plat.
