I can't be the only one who thinks Riots pricing system is a joke

I can't be the only person who thinks that Blue essence is basically worthless. I also play HotS and I feel the way they do their progression and cosmetics is a far better system that rewards their players for actually playing the game. In HotS if i play 10 games i will earn maybe 4-5 loot boxes which contain skins, voice lines, emotes, icons, mounts and shards. Shards are used to buy literally every type of cosmetic and you gain a reasonable amount of them quite often. In LoL you gain blue essence which can be used to buy characters and runes pages, that's it, even the cheapest skins you have to spend about £5/$5 on RP. I feel Riot should shift their system to, not copy. but at least be similar to HotS system, a system that rewards people for playing.

well RIOT makes plenty of $$ the way it is , why would they change it?

riot has a bigger player base then HOTS so HOTS has to discounted things to steal/get players

Like they said, it's a bigger game so they can charge more. There's no reason for them to reduce prices if people pay said prices regularly. Hots has like 180 people max most days when I'm on and most people are spamming PVE/AI. Not much reason to buy things/show things off. Hots is just to get you acquainted with all the characters and get you interested in trying the other games at this point. Spending money on that game makes you feel BAD because it's so easy to get everything. Which is great for us, the consumer but for the company it's almost pointless.

I would not surprised that HotS would make aggressive decisions in order to make it's pricing system and game attractive in order to compete with the other games in the genre.

I'll instead bring up that League of Legends is the main game of Riot. It is not one of many games that is has to profit nor is it one that it can use as means to promote other franchises that it owns. ActivisionBlizzard has other games like Overwatch to make money off of.

I'll leave you to ask an Overwatch forum just how good their micro-transaction and loot box systems is in their paid, full release game.
