Why am i getting punished because the client sucks?

The client has been around for a couple years now, youd think by now it would be functional, but no. Its bug riddled, i accept a match, and the prompt never goes away, i close the client, and i find i have a 5 minute time out from riot. How about you dont get paid for the amount of time you make people waste?
